Root Canal

Root Canal

Root canals become necessary when the nerve tissue inside the tooth becomes damaged. During the procedure, your dentist will remove the soft tissue within the tooth, called the pulp, and gently file the infected and inflamed tissue out of the root canals of the tooth. The void that is created is then filled in with an inert material and completed with the placement of a filling, or in some instances, a crown. While the procedure sounds quite intensive, it’s actually virtually painless.
